George Farkas, ADM

We are proud to inform our readers that George Farkas has been appointed as Assistant Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development and the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation. He is one of the youngest persons to have served in such a senior position in B.C.

George is well qualified for his new job. He has the right educational background. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a Master’s in Public Administration. In addition to having gone through an Accelerated Executive Development Program, he has also served in such distinguished appointments as an Executive Director’s position in the Financial and Management Branch of the Office of the Comptroller General.

George is also known as a talented sportsman, he has played badminton at the national level. His parents, George Senior and Edit, as well as wife Chrysta and twin sons, Joshua George and Benjamin Alexander are proud of the executive son, husband and father. As are we, members of the Hungarian community. Good luck, George, and all the best for a distinguished career!
