MAGYAR REKVIEM

Készülőben a kétnyelvű emlékőrző a "távolba szakadt" brit-kolumbiai magyarságért

Tudatjuk tartományunk magyarságával, hogy eddigi adat, fénykép, és nekrológ-gyűjtő munkálkodásunk több mint 1100 elhunyt honfitársunk nevét tartalmazza. A szerkesztők, gépírók, – mint mindenki más –, egy éve anyagi ellenszolgáltatás nélkül dolgoznak. A hatalmas anyag számítógépes feldolgozása és szerkesztése után elérkeztünk az album méretű könyv kinyomtatásához szükséges árajánlatok kéréséhez. Ezért fordulunk most az elhunytak rokonaihoz, valamint az ügyet szívükön viselő támogatóinkhoz, hogy a MAGYAR REKVIEM megjelentetését anyagiakkal támogassák.

Az adományokat a Greater Vancouver Credit Union, New Westminster Branch 25B-800 McBride Blvd, New Westminster BC V3L 2B8, hivatalosan bejegyzett REQUIEM számlára szíveskedjenek beküldeni, vagy ugyancsak REQUIEM névre kiállítva Lelkes Ilonkának, vagy Hegedős Györgyinek személyesen átadni. A csekkekről hivatalos elismervényt adunk.

CÉLUNK: Fellelhető nyomot hagyni – a kutató utókor számára – arról a sok tehetséges, szorgalmas, sikeres, és nagylelkű magyarról a kétnyelvű Magyar Rekviemben, akik segítették a magyar szervezetek fenntartását, s ezzel ősi kultúránk megőrzését. Az album föllelhető lesz mind a hazai, mind a kanadai emigrációs anyagokat őrző gyűjteményekben.

HUNGARIAN REQUIEM

We have prepared a bilingual Necrology that contains the names and photographs of over 1100 of our compatriots who have passed away in British Columbia, far away from their homeland. The editors, typists, and others have been working on it for the past year without remuneration. After completing the huge task of compiling the enormous data, we are ready to have it printed.
Thus we are turning to the relatives of the departed, as well as to those who are willing to support this worthy cause, to ask for financial assistance for the publication of this unique volume.

Donations can be deposited to the REQUIEM account at the Greater Vancouver Credit Union – Westminster Branch 25B-800 McBride Blvd, New Westminster BC V3L 2B8 alternatively, cheques should be made payable to REQUIEM and handed to Georgina Hegedős or Ilonka Lelkes. The donors will receive an official receipt.

Our goal is to leave a lasting reminder in the Hungarian Requiem of all these talented, hard working, successful and generous men and women, who contributed so much to our community and laboured so hard to keep up our traditions within the Hungarian Societies.
