The Hungarian Society of Victoria was established in 1966.
The purposes of the Society are:

a. To nourish and foster the Hungarian language, culture, historical traditions
  and to promote friendship and understanding amongst the members.

b. To participate in community affairs amongst the Canadian public.

c. To support the United Nations' Charter of Rights.

d. To assist recently arrived immigrants of Hungarian origin with adjusting to the Canadian way of life.

Note - addition to paragraph "d" above:
The Hungarian Society of Victoria is unable to offer any assistance concerning  immigration related matters and neither can we provide job opportunities. Any letter of request in reference to these subjects will be disregarded.
